Let's talk about History...

How good can I do will all the information that I'm finding? Loewen talks about lies and lies and more lies!! Wow!!! For me it's been an eye opening. I came to hate history at a certain point...well...I'm still not sure if I still do or not...because of a simple fact that nothing relates to me. Loewen talked about this and this made me realize that I might be self-centered or that I really don't care...or maybe history is just not for me. Who knows!! I do understand that while I come to a more precise understanding of what history is all about it intrigues me and makes me wonder of all the truths that we still have to find. I do, however, realize that history is important. It's our background...I like the quote that one of the girls said in class...

"Those who do not know history are due to repeat it"

I know for sure I don't want to repeat the same mistake my teacher did to me. I do want to be prepared. I came to a conclusion that history has to be important, for me, for you, for anyone and everyone. History has a little of each one of us in it.
